Zurich is getting ready for another night at the museums, September 5.
Located on the lake that bears its name, Switzerland’s largest city is worldwide known as a home for financial and banking institutions. Few people would look at Zurich as cultural capital and a city of art. Yet, they would be surprised to see how many interesting sites and initiatives this city can count on.
Now at its tenth edition, The Long Night of Zurich’s Museums (Die Lange Nacht der Zürcher Museen) is the most important date in this city’s Summer initiatives.
This year, some thirty-eight different places on interests are involved. As 2009 is the year of Astronomy, many of the appointments are centered on stars and planets. The 2009 event in indeed titled The New Stars in Zurich’s Sky.
